DAY 1: Hanoi motorbike tour to Mai Chau (180 km ~ 110 miles)

Greet your tour guides and embark on a majestic journey through the lively, bustling traffic of Ha Noi. Travel along the dike road by the Red River as you make your way toward Son Tay.

Visit Duong Lam ancient village with the opportunity to sightsee and explore the architecture, narrow alleyways, temples and locals of this historical location

Take the back road through villages to Da river, we then take the small ferry across the river and cruise along to Hoa Binh, have lunch in Hoa Binh

In the afternoon, head to Mai Chau via Thung Khe mountain pass. Enjoy the beautiful rural Muong village and stunning scenery of mountains and valleys

Arrive in Mai Chau for relaxation or a walk to discover beautiful village of this picturesque valley

DAY 2: Mai Chau – Phu Yen (180 km ~ 110 miles)

Enjoy the fresh air of the valleys of Mai Chau in the morning

Begin your journey from Mai Chau to the Moc Chau Plateau, traveling along the scenic back roads that wind through rolling hills and verdant tea plantations. Along the way, take time to pause at the cascading waterfalls and visit a few local villages to immerse yourself in their rich culture and daily way of life.

Cruise to Van Yen ferry. Upon arrival, cross the river and take a moment to relax while soaking in the stunning views of one of Hoa Binhs largest reservoirs. Continue your peaceful journey to Phu Yen, passing through charming villages and picturesque rice fields along the route.

DAY 3: Phu Yen – Mu Cang Chai (180 km ~ 110 miles)

Leave Phu Yen heading to Lung Lo pass, enjoying the scenic  view and we Ride to Tu Le, a small town famous for magnificent terraced rice fields and visit a local village of Lim Mong to learn the way they making green rice food and special wine.

Travel to Khau Pha mountain pass, renowned as one of Vietnam’s most stunning landscapes. Upon reaching Mu Cang Chai, take in the breathtaking sight of the iconic rice terraces. These extraordinary formations stand as a tribute to the dedication and resourcefulness of the local communities who have skillfully farmed these steep slopes for generations.

DAY 4: Mu Cang Chai – Sapa (160 km ~ 100 miles)

Good morning to the enchanting Mu Cang Chai on your journey to Sapa.

This route guides you through some of Vietnam’s most breathtaking mountainous landscapes. Take time to visit the ethnic minority villages along the way, where you can delve into their rich culture and gain insight into their traditional rice cultivation practices.

Ascend to the O Quy Ho mountain pass, also known as Hoang Lien Son or Tonkin Apthe Hill that never ends. This pass provides spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges.

Pause briefly at Silver Waterfall as you make your way to Sapa. Spend the night in Sapa for a restful stay.

DAY 5: Day of relaxation in Sapa

Spend the day as you choose as there are infinite activities available in the fascinating city

Fansipan: the highest mountain in Vietnam. The cable car ride takes you to the top of the mountain where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys .

Cat Cat village: a short trek to Cat Cat village allows you to experience the local way of life and interact with the ethnic groups such as Hmong, Red Dao, and Tay

DAY 6: Sapa – Hoang Su Phi (200 km ~ 125miles)

Start early from Sapa to Lao Cai city

Take the winding road through villages and valleys to Bac Ha (experience the market fair if it is on Sunday)

Cruise the small winding road to Xin Man and along the river to Hoang Su Phi, you will have chance to visit some of the small waterfalls and some of the best rice terraces on the way.

Head toward Ban Luoc or Ban Phung for the stunning villages with beautiful ethnic people

DAY 7: Hoang Su Phi – Ha Giang (160 km ~ 100 miles)

Leave the small town of Hoang Su Phi and take a short ride up to Peo village. The road is winding and hilly through many beautiful terraced rice fields and diverse ethnic cultures

Along the way, pass through small villages and see the traditional stilt houses of the Tay, Dao and Hmong people

Take in the breathtaking sight of the expansive Nam Ty and Thong Nguyen rice terraces as you journey toward Ha Giang.

Immerse yourself in the local culture with a homestay experience and enjoy a refreshing swim at one of Ha Giang‘s stunning waterfalls.

DAY 8: Ha Giang – Dong Van (150 km ~ 100 miles)

Depart from Ha Giang and head to Quan Ba, visiting Quan Ba mountain and H’Mong King palace – a unique blend of architectural styles, combining traditional H’mong design with Chinese and French influences

Cruise up to Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark on the stunning roads and breathtaking scenery heading to Flag Tower of Lung Cu

Visit a Lo Lo village to learn how they cultivate on the severe terrain and conditions before the ride to Dong Van

Overnight in Dong Van at hotels or homestays

DAY 9: Dong Van – Bao Lac (140 km ~ 87 miles)

Say good bye to Dong Van and hope for a nice weather day as you ride to the greatest of Ma Pi Leng mountain pass. This mountain pass was listed as one of the most imposing passes in Vietnam. The road is narrow and curvy; however, the views from both sides are gorgeous and stunning

Take a short boat ride to discover Nho Que river before getting another beautiful ride  passing through many small Lo Lo villages and limestone mountainous roads.

Visit the local market in Bao Lac and learn about the culture of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups of the area.

DAY 10: Bao Lac – Ban Gioc Waterfall (200 km ~ 125 miles)

Head east toward Cao Bang via Me Pia and Na Tenh mountain passes. Follow the scenic roads with lots of rice paddies, corn fields, and limestone karsts

Visit Ban Gioc waterfall, one of the most imposing and impressive waterfalls in Vietnam right next to the border of China. You can also take a boat ride on the river. On the way to Nguom Ngao cave you will pass through several small villages along the gorgeous Quay Son river

DAY 11: Ban Gioc Waterfall – Ba Be Lake (200 km ~ 125 miles)

Say good by to Ban Gioc, visit the Phuc Sen traditional knife making village. The village has a long history of producing high-quality knives with traditional techniques passed down through generations

Visit Na Tau village located in the middle of the mountain to learn about the culture and traditions of the Tay ethnic group

Cruise the Tham Ma pass down to Ba Be Lake. The biggest natural lake in Vietnam surrounded by mountains and lush forests. Optional activity of taking a boat trip on Ba Be Lake to explore the lake and its surroundings

DAY 12: Babe lake – Ha Noi (200 km ~ 125 miles)

Say good bye to Ba Be, visit Tat Ma waterfall as you go through a small local village

We then take the countryside road via Cho Leng up and down hills through beautiful mountains and small countryside roads with gorgeous views

Head to Thai Nguyen city, and the road getting busier. Visit the largest ethnic group museum in Vietnam and riding back to Hanoi, concluding of the 12-day Grand north Vietnam Motorbike Tour
